Ethics, privacy & safety

Protect the researcher. Protect the patient. Preserve the evidence.

Our operating boundary is not a disclaimer. It determines what we accept, how we handle files, where human judgment is required, and what must stop.

Non-negotiableProWrite supports researchers. It does not secretly replace them.

Prohibited work

We refuse replacement, concealment, and misconduct.

  • Completing independently assessed work with little or no client participation
  • Fabricating or altering data, participants, records, citations, approvals, or consent
  • Manipulating analysis to manufacture statistical significance
  • Writing conclusions not supported by the data
  • Concealing the client’s lack of understanding during a defense
  • Guaranteeing approval, graduation, publication, or significant findings
  • Using identifiable patient data without authority and safeguards
  • Concealing contributors who require authorship or acknowledgement

Patient and research data

De-identification and minimum necessary data by default.

Health information is sensitive personal information. Before any data project begins, we check authority, institutional restrictions, ethics requirements, privacy risk, and the safest workable environment.

01

Do not send identifiers

No names, full addresses, hospital numbers, contact details, government identifiers, photographs, or unnecessary free text through inquiry channels.

02

Separate client workspaces

Projects are kept distinct, access is role-based, and cross-client information is never mixed.

03

Record authority and purpose

Data ownership, permitted use, approvals, recipients, retention, and deletion requirements must be clear.

04

Preserve the source

Cleaning and transformation occur on controlled working copies with version history and a documented audit trail.

Responsible AI

AI can improve productivity. It cannot replace scientific judgment.

We do not upload identifiable patient data or confidential hospital documents into unapproved public AI systems.

Photography provenance

Every photograph should tell visitors what it really shows.

ProWrite is transitioning from generated marketing scenes to consented photographs from actual workshops, consultations, and team sessions. Until an authentic photograph is available, the generated visual remains plainly labeled.

Illustrative image

Generated scenes are not presented as evidence.

The label states that the people shown are not actual ProWrite clients, staff members, or event participants.

Documented ProWrite activity

Real event photographs require context and consent.

Future documentary captions will identify the event, location, and year. Consent and photographer or source records are kept before publication.

Profile portrait

Identified people receive a distinct provenance label.

Portraits are separated from marketing scenes and identify the source supplied for the profile.

Authorship & disclosure

Credit, accountability, and assistance should be transparent.

Writing assistance, language editing, proofreading, and technical support do not automatically qualify someone for authorship. They should be acknowledged when required. Every engagement clarifies client responsibility, contribution, data ownership, institutional policy, final approval, and research understanding.
